Are you a female prosecutor or a defense attorney? Chances are at some point in your career you may feel the need to carry some type of personal protection to guard or protect yourself against individuals you have defended and/or prosecuted in a court of law. There may also be individuals who are closely related to a specific criminal case who seek revenge against you for actions taken towards a defendant.

If you are an attorney in a high visibility position, your personal safety may be more at risk than your fellow workers. Be sure to take the necessary steps to be on high alert and aware of what is going on around you both in the court room and on the streets. Taking a safety awareness and/or a self-defense class can provide a sense of empowerment, self-confidence, and knowledge of how to physically defend yourself if attacked or assaulted.

As a backup plan consider carrying some sort of non-lethal personal protection such as pepper/mace spray, Taser C2, stun gun, or a personal alarm with you. (Be sure to check the legalities within your state/county).
